CHEZ SÓNIA PRIVATE CHEF – São Miguel Açores
Our service is a Private Chef service. We do not provide a catering service (ready-to-eat or take-away).
We are an independent service. We have no link / exclusivity / partnership with the place where the event will be held. Our Private Chef service is in no way connected to the local accommodation, travel agents or any other entity.
Our limit is 15 persons per event.
We only do dinners.
We go to the place where the customer wants the service and prepare the meal at the agreed time and place.
If the service is carried out in a rental villa or the own’s house, we use (mostly) the household crockery, both to prepare the meal and for serving.
The arrival of our team to the place of the event to start the service, will normally be 4 or 5 hours before the event begins, to ensure that everything is clean and ready.
Customers are free to choose the best date and time to perform the service.
The choice of menu and acceptance of the budget must be established in writing at least 1 month before the date of the event.
We do not work with fixed menus. The menus are created according to what customers want. There is no price limit, but there are minimum prices.
It may be necessary to apply travel fees, depending on the location where the event takes place.
Payment methods: cash, paypal, MBWAY or wire transfer. And for your convenience, we also have a portable card reader (SumUp), so you can easily pay at the end of the dinner using any bank card, chip & PIN, contactless, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
If the amount is not paid on the same day, for each day that passes without agreed justification, 5% will be added to the total value of the service.
To ensure a high-quality, tailor-made service, all booking requests go through two simple steps:
Based on information provided on the website (date, location, number of guests, meal, etc.), I will send a general cost estimate.
If you wish to proceed, a non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to secure the date and begin detailed planning (personalized menu, logistics needed, wine pairings, suggestions, etc.).
The deposit will be deducted from the final price of the dinner once the complete quote is confirmed and adjusted accordingly.
Please note that the remaining price must be paid on the day of the event, at the end of the dinner.
This deposit allows me to dedicate time and full attention to your event, ensuring quality and exclusivity.
While the deposit is non-refundable, I understand that plans may change. Therefore:
• Up to 15 days before the event: No additional payment required beyond the deposit.
• Between 15 and 7 days before: 50% of the remaining cost of the dinner must be paid.
• Less than 7 days before: The full dinner cost will be charged.
• If I cancel the service, the deposit will be refunded in full (100%).

Throughout the event, there will be photography and video recording, for sharing on social networks and the website. If you object, for privacy reasons, please indicate at the beginning.
If you wish to include wine with the meal, then a list will be provided (the wine selection available is from a wine company that we partner with). The wine list contains a selection of Portuguese wines and artisan beers considered to be the best in terms of price and quality.
When you accept the budget sent, you are accepting all the terms and conditions of service included here.
